Pokemon Silver/gold Trade List

New location, new horizons

Community Service Form Faked

When the show begins ...

Imagine the perfect score (or at least what I imagine, from my point of view, is the perfect score): the noble professional agency that Congress should organize a gala dinner for a large international medical event, with sponsors behind that, incredibly, survived a crisis, mergers and downsizings.

The ingredients are all positive: the date and interestingly, the location at hand, the budget appears to be the number one problem, provided of course you make a good impression.

Sure, it does not happen often and, above all, never happens if there is already a "history" with your partner. That is, no one will ever commission a great event if you do not already know and have worked with you.

In this post I want to deepen the technical aspects of preparation and organization before an important event, but talk about what happens "during the show, or when the show begins, and must necessarily be good, why do not you will be a second chance.

This is indeed the most important time for a caterer , the moment when the customer receives the service that is booked and for which he pays.

It 'important to emphasize that not only will your partner to evaluate your service, the quality of menu, la cura della misenplace e la professionalità del vostro staff.

Returning to the original, a gala dinner for 500 doctors with an international client coming from all over the world, including the organization's top priority was in fact the speed of service.

Need more than understandable in a busy schedule of three days without a moment of relaxation, need to coexist with the need to "make a good impression" on the stage of an evening in late May (weather included).

In essence, everything was condensed into no more than two hours, from welcome cocktails in the garden at the 6-course dinner with four wines, served strictly by the sommelier, the speech by the president of the association (whose prolixity, of course, would be charged on the timing of the caterer).

The complexity or simplicity of a service, however, must never be an excuse: too easy to say that the program was wrong in the face of criticism, or that the service seemed easy but then the customer was much more demanding than expected.

service to the Customer is in fact a mild and intangible can not be prepared and frozen for a peaceful future use, but it is immediate and spontaneous expression which must correspond to the expectations and the perception of our guests.

Indeed, if one can say that the service meets the expectations, ironically, it is likely that all this goes unnoticed or taken for granted.

Conversely, the slightest delay, every little spot, and any misunderstanding can undermine a good opinion of your performance.

So, why the guest review is very positive for your future and current business, you must make sure that the impression is not only satisfactory, but memorable.

What
Why should this happen? The service must always be efficient and in line with the style of the event and the cultural level of the guests, staff members should be courteous, helpful and attentive to the needs, the comfortable, carefully planned and prepared to anticipate every little incident, the carefully chosen menu, cooked perfectly and served impeccably. And most importantly, the customer must get the impression that this is a worthwhile investment!

Unfortunately (or fortunately), there are no absolute judgments, and often you will be judged on the basis of very different viewpoints, which often have little to do with logic.

What matters is the disappointment of the customer!

sometimes are invited to influence the other party: When the service is my habit to check, with tact and discretion, if my customer is satisfied with the evening, the need to correct something, or accelerate slow service, and so on. And more than one occasion I happened to receive enthusiastic comments inexplicably followed by confusion that contaddicevano then the above said.

In these cases it is always good to calmly assess the situation: your client is happy, but maybe one of his guests ha avuto qualcosa da ridire. Davvero?

 • L'indifferenza

 • Il Failure to listen

 • Negative attitudes

E 'it is clear that in any case of communication problems! In fact, each of these critical elements is determined by personal perception and opinion of our party. Beyond the excesses that situations are always absolute, there are infinite shades of "indifference" or "rudeness".

Therefore, to avoid any misunderstanding, the better to exceed the positive communication that do the opposite!

The problem is that this "moment of truth", that the instant opinion is formed that will remain focused on you and your company may happen at any moment of the service! During the appetizer buffet cocktails, while the guest to the wardrobe puts his jacket on the table and the sommelier is the wine for the beef tenderloin ...

The long waits, surly waiters, the food prepared badly, disorganization or lack of cleanliness are some examples of situations that alienated the guests, and without prejudice to future opportunities to do business.

it is important that everyone within the organization are motivated him a wonderful experience for customers and visitors. Each fact, the chef at the cloakroom, they must pursue the objective of customer satisfaction. Within organization's well built, each one must be a problem-solver natural, to intervene immediately and resolve any problems on the fly, without having to run to someone else, who can intervene, perhaps, but not late .

The attention to customer needs, during the show, to be part of the company's philosophy is part of the natural sense of hospitality that should belong to those who work in our industry, and that can become the winning factor for your company in market competition.

caterers I believe that the quality of food is the most important aspect of their work wrong. Customers are equally attentive to the value of the service espresos staff, care of the mise en place and the buffet, and also to the fringe, like music. A loud band or a deejay too exuberant can ruin the atmosphere and make it impossible to talk to the table and ruin the evening!

The Disney corporation has a 'total experience and fantastic "to its visitors and customers, in which the food is just one component. However, catering to the primary objective is to contribute, rewarding customers with precise mode of communication, service and fully in keeping with the theme of entertainment.

Sometimes small things are enough to leak service excellence: to accompany a guest to the wardrobe instead of telling, or to visit the kitchens during the most distinguished service to guests without fear of revealing an organization are approximate contraddistiguono elements that very few organizations .

seem silly, but what makes the difference and can positively influence the growth of your business. Without neglecting the organization and quality food, then you can really say that ... during the show, the service sells!

Kates Playground Full Nudi

For those who want to learn more ...

If the art of organizing banquets has ancient origins, the banqueting in professional and business sense has its roots in Anglo-Saxon culture.

And it is the references made in the USA to bring the text more interesting for those who wish to learn more about the world of catering. How is it in our language is quite low and, for the most part, translated and applied to our needs.

Definitely interesting is "Off-Premise Catering Management by Bill Hansen and Chris Thomas: The approach is not overly technical, and how these are dealt with all aspects of the catering business (organization of a food marketing) will also be useful to anyone who is not already expert.

Also interesting is "Catering Like a Pro: From Planning to Profit," by Francine Halvorsen: there are a number of case histories and experience from professionals and American chefs, together with advice, tips and recipes adapted to the specific occasions.
Reading is nice, but a practical application of many of our suggestions would require a major reinterpretation Italic reality dictated by the diversity of tastes and habits that still persist with respect to the American world.

The third and final reading is "Practical Professional Catering Management" by Cracknell, Kaufmann and Nobis. This is a very technical guidance, which addresses organizational aspects of the restaurant world, a point of view more connected to the on-premise banquet or catering to the hotel and not traveling. Among the three

reading, the first is undoubtedly the most interesting, comprehensive and inherent to the field of 'off-premise catering, and from this we get a brief but significant statement:

"Separating yourself from the competition "

" best caterers I do not imitate, innovate. There are distinct advantages to those who offer a unique menu, or a rare type of service, or an exclusive location.
I Caterers can best develop and improve concepts and ideas of others, however, must be able to make a real breakthrough. Rather than imitate the success stories of others, they must sign their own menus and their services, making them more recognizable.

This can happen even for simple situations, such as cooking and serving in a way the classic French fries: just a little 'imagination for original impressive results, such as spreading a bit of caviar on each strip and then serve in bowls of martini. Why should not it be nice?

One of the greatest chefs in America, Charlie Trotter, analyzes trends in alternative food in his Lessons in Excellence. Trotter says, "It 's important to create a corporate culture that pushes you and your employees to find innovative solutions. Innovations can meet unspoken needs, or offer useful solutions to reduce the loss of time, space and money."
Trotter says he and his staff are the lessons learned in their travels, reading, television, radio and even by their own hobbies. So it is possible to perceive the latest changes in public opinion and identify new strategies and market niches. Following this scheme has been identified as ethnic cuisine of pan-Asian and Latin interesting areas of innovation for their menu.
The guideline is to create your own trend.

Like every professional, the good caterers should regularly review its business strategy.

Some of them offer their best, they are recognized for this and never change their formula. I appreciate them and their customers get exactly how many have come to expect from them.

Other caterers are simply copying someone else: coated their solutions and do not bother to verify that in fact meet the needs of their customers.

Un altro caterers ha ottenuto un contratto exclusively for sports catering and a third from "on-premise caterer" a private club in town has turned into "off-premise caterer" at the premises and the homes of members of that club.

Treasure of the public who have: become (almost certainly) your future customers! "

Catering & Banqueting: History and Evolution Business Management

Catering & Banqueting Italy is the leading sponsor of Catering & Banqueting Blog.

His story echoes the experience gained by the founder of the company , Ivano Blacks, who since 1979 has in practice "inaugurated" the activity of banqueting as interpreted today.

time for the word "banquet" was essentially unknown in Italy, and just the idea of preparing a banquet or a party outside the canonical spaces for dining was considered rather strange company.

But 30 years ago the pioneers of the sector were charged to make lunches and dinners for hundreds and even thousands of participants: the System Services in Rimini was in fact a society of organizational support for large companies who need to schedule important appointments .

time the best sales technique was the "demonstration" why it was necessary to gather as many people in one place, where to submit their products, services and news.

The commercial on TV was limited to consumer products, and the Internet was pure science fiction. Invite

meant thousands of people take charge of their needs: the food was often probema number one, both for the high number of people who need to offer not just a meal, when high-level welcome.

Since then the banqueting has developed gradually and it seems in harmony with the hotel business, the core business of our group.

So we moved from Rimini to Riccione in 1984, without changing the basic philosophy: high quality services and professionalism to make a difference, punctuality and reliability as the password recognized by customers as a business card.

Riccione change the name, and becomes just "Riccione Catering" to give an idea of the innovative features of the company, just think that is precisely the Riccione Catering to be responsible for catering in fact more advanced in the Romagna late 80s Aquafan.

The evolution continues with "Catering & Banqueting Italy": the aim is always more on the quality of the stands on the care of service and range of choice cuisine, while broadening the scope of the company, which goes to cover an area within 300 km from the base of Riccione.

The reference point is the Atlantic Hotel in Riccione, and the forward-looking partnership with the family of Ricci Assirelli Rimini becomes increasingly strategic.

In 2004 comes the new headquarters and logistics, with over 1500 square meters of space in stores, kitchens and offices.

In 2008, with the inauguration of the Palazzo dei Congressi Riccione, Catering & Banqueting Italy becomes the official supplier of banqueting services of the most important conference venue in the city. Today

effective (and happy) of a banqueting

 • Maturare un'adeguata esperienza nel settore: know the fundamentals of food, work in a banqueting, acquire the necessary skills.

 • Work with passion: thinking that is simply a catering business is the quickest route to failure.

 • Knowing how to be resourceful, consistent and ambitious in growing professionally.

 • acquire the basic skills in technical sales and marketing, administrative procedures, management of human resources.

 • Knowing how to plan, organize, execute and control all aspects of every event, from simple to more complex than you propose.

 • Communicate effectively: with customers, your staff and an extensive array of contacts at every level you will face during the day.

 • properly assess the risks of business (are so many in our business), and Face them with balance.

 • handle the pressure and stress for many consecutive hours of work and sleepless nights spent at the customer service of your turn.

 • Ability to put creativity at the side of professionalism, to invent new formulas and new concept without betraying the values of hospitality and good organization.

 • always be reliable: it is the basic requirement for catering. Puntualmnete means being able to keep every commitment made to jump through hoops to satisfy a customer, but also know how to say no to meet the most unlikely that there would only disgrace.

 • Having the ability to identify the needs of your customers, needs that often are never as obvious and require careful analysis and proposal.

 • Knowing how to maintain a broad vision and no mental barriers: it means knowing how to question to find more effective and creative solutions. Each event is unique, and often requires solutions customized, personalized and unique.

 • Building a corporate image that reflects everything so far said to be recognizable, identifiable organization's quality, service and cuisine.

Doing business with the business of catering & banqueting needs all this and more: as we said, the pure economic reward you almost never make the large investment of time, effort and resources that you mentally will be required.

it is important to put passion, enthusiasm and take things philosophically: remember these words when, after a gala dinner, maybe at 5 am, you end up with 1000 seats to be removed and a conference room to be ready, cleaned and fully rebuilt, after a couple of hours!

Baby Lock Sewing Machine Grace

Who is in charge of banqueting as we know it (a real professional would call off-premise catering ) generally offers its customers a list of locations where you make your event: from marriage to business meeting, party music from the gala dinner, for each appointment there is in fact the perfect location .
This does not mean that our customers actually choose the best location adequate: the often irrational and emotional element tends to fall in love with the most unlikely places, and in this case nothing will be worth your efforts to deter this choice. However, the perfect
banqueting manager must know perfectly the first to propose a location: by that I mean that is not enough to know every corner of every room and every inch of the garden, but, rather, to have in mind an overall picture of the location they are well aware of all the elements with which we or our guests to do during the event. And 'even should periodically visit all the locations we offer, from month to month just because there may have been news che è sempre meglio conoscere in anticipo.

 • La disponibilità di spazi adeguati anche in caso di maltempo (ne abbiamo già parlato, ma sempre meglio sottolineare come anche the most lavish event risks being reduced to a flop if there are valid alternatives).
 • The ability to use all the space necessary for our event: take several square meters for the cocktails, and many more for the mise en place. The entertainment requires other places, like a dance floor or a platform for the orchestra. Our client may also have additional needs, and the location must provide suitable venues and accessible.
 • The availability of adequate parking. A problem not usually the locations in the country but which is fundamental to the events in the center: if finding a parking space is difficult, think about where they can park 100 car Guestbook! This theme also covers catering in the sense that it is good to have in mind where we park our vehicles (at best the truck with food for the larger events are also required 5 / 10 large trucks!) and those of our staff.
 • Regulation of the location: it is always good to remember that we work in another's house, so everything must be done on tiptoe, with attention to the rules, more or less written. Especially in the location "sensitive" as a museum, a library, or where there is already a complex organization, as a fair, a hospital or a government, you need to know Regulation on the modalities of access, drainage material, hours, insurance and permits.
 • The existence of a kitchen, and the ability to use equipment already in place. It is crucial, since the presence of these more or less complete equipment "heavy" have a profound effect on our budget costs. Of course, where such opportunities are present, it is always good to learn about how we use and status of equipment maintenance, as well as the possible cost of ownership, which is often disguised in some way to emerge only later in the budget now closed!
Better check in advance and, where appropriate, agree on the thing so we could avoid unpleasant surprises when it would be inappropriate interference or too late to resolve them.

These suggestions apply as mentioned for a location that offers banqueting manager. A fortiori, these elements must be assessed in the event that your customer requires a service in a location you do not know, or where you have never worked anyway.

This requires a thorough site inspection, which will allow one hand to propose the type of service properly, and secondly to prevent and solve successfully the problems of the case, while maintaining accurate control of costs in our industry, it is really important!

The perfect location for lunch in the banqueting Hall: how to combine efficiency, food quality and accurate services

The conference banqueting often must match very specific criteria: high number of participants

 • Average length of service very compressed

 • Forte density in the crowded spaces in available

 • Need to find a balanced menu, suitable to the tastes of all

 • use of environments and spaces designed for other uses

 • Budget available fairly low

These factors (the latter in particular due to the recent economic downturn has now taken the lead role) are generally not compatible with the characteristics that a good banqueting service should offer.

quality of food, care services, efficient organization in fact require time, space and budget that often are not available to the extent that a banquet manager.

The ability of the organizers of professional catering conference is therefore to identify and propose the most appropriate formulas, custom tailored to the specific event.

This essentially means that, in fact, there is almost never a standard, especially if the working conditions are constantly changing, as well as the needs and preferences of the customer.

The research, analysis and study of customized solutions makes it possible to identify menus and formulas of service that the customer does not take even a priori given, but in reality they can meet their needs better than standard formulas.

The case is the kind of scientific training event, attended by several hundred professionals and residents, accustomed to the traditional working lunch with set menu served at the table.

When the client becomes the need to contain the budget compared to an initial proposal, there are two options: maintain the formula of service required, reducing the menu and the accuracy of the service, with a strong compromise on customer satisfaction possible (especially if there is already a precedent appreciated), or completely transform the program, offering a lunch stand.

enhancing elements such as length of service, more moderate, the dynamics of the occasion, which can often be exploited to the benefit of the sponsors present with their stand at the event, thus enjoying a higher profile, as is the case the coffee breaks, and stressing that the total budget may be so addirittura inferiore a quanto previsto, può essere possibile convincere il Cliente anche più scettico.
